LOFOTEN ART NIGHTS?

LOFOTEN ART NIGHTS are guided painting experiences inspired by the Arctic nature of the Lofoten Islands.
Set in the heart of Lofoten, above the Arctic Circle, you'll spend three creative hours painting your Arctic-inspired artwork on a canvas panel.

Depending on the season, you might paint the Northern Lights dancing across the winter sky or the glowing colours of the Midnight Sun in summer.

Whether you join one of our scheduled Open Art Nights or book a private experience for your partner, family, friends or group, all painting materials are provided and no previous painting experience is needed.

Along the way, you'll discover a new skill and create a meaningful souvenir to take home from your time in Lofoten.

I'll guide you step by step in a relaxed, cosy and unhurried atmosphere.

My name is Selina Baumer.
I’m an Artist from Switzerland.

In the summer of 2025, I moved to the Lofoten Islands and fell in love instantly, with the wild nature, the ever-changing light, and the quiet intensity of this place.

Art has always been my way of making sense of the world,
or turning feelings and moments into something tangible.

With LOFOTEN ART NIGHTS, I invite you into a slow, intimate creative moment. A space to arrive, to paint with your own hands, and to leave with an artwork that carries a piece of your journey through the Lofoten Islands.

FAQs

Children from 12 years and older can join LOFOTEN ART NIGHTS as regular participants for the regular price.

If you’re thinking about bringing younger children, please consider whether you can still enjoy the afternoon while keeping an eye on them.

We can always find something to paint for them.

The price for children under 12 years is 600 NOK (to cover the painting material).

Please contact me, so we can plan it properly.

No experience needed at all.

The workshop is guided step by step, and the focus is on enjoying the process – not on being “good” at art.

You’ll create your own painting (northern lights or midnight sun) on a canvas panel.

Your finished artwork is yours to take home as a special souvenir from the Lofoten Islands.

The workshop lasts approximately 3 hours.

The LOFOTEN ART NIGHTS are held in English and/or German.

French is possible upon request – please contact me in advance.

To keep the atmosphere cosy and personal, the group size is limited to max. 15 participants.

Private groups or larger groups are possible on request.

Yes, parking is available on site at the event location.

Yes. If you have a preferred date and enough participants, I’m happy to organise a private Art Night for you.
